New Acting Appointments

Following Mr. Talbert's vacation leave, new acting appointments have been made.

Mrs. Heather Boyd-Cunningham has been appointed to act as Principal for the period September 1, 2024 - April 30, 2025. She comes to the post with a wealth of knowledge and experience in school administration. She served as acting principal for more than a year from September 1, 2018 - October 31, 2019. She also worked in the role of vice-principal assisting the previous vice-principal and even acted as vice-principal before her latter appointment. Besides her experience in senior administration, she served as a grade supervisor, a form teacher and Mathematics teacher. She has many years of experience in the school system; however, she began serving the Ascot community in 2001. Her greatest passion is for students to access holistic development programmes that allow them to make their contribution to society. 

Following the acting appointment of Mrs Cunningham to the post of principal, Mrs. Yashika Cummings have been asked to act as vice-principal for the period Mr. Talbert is on leave. Mrs. Cummngs comes to the post with years of experience and the requisite expertise. She has been serving the school community since 2008 in various capacities such as form teacher, grade supevisor, Mathematics and Resource Management teacher. She is currently the school's dean of discipline where she has worked assidiously to make an impact in the lives of the students. She is passionate about the welfare of staff and students, particularly at-risk male students. She often goes beyond the call of duty to ensure that students get an opprtunity to maximize their true potential. 

Mr. Sean Wallace has been appointed to the dean's office while Mrs. Cummings serves as the acting vice-principal. Mr. Wallace also comes to the post with years of experience. He has served in the capacity of form teacher, grade supervisor and acting vice-principal. He currently serves the school as Exam Coordinator and Table Tennis Coach. He is very active in the life of the school. He was the fundraising committee chairman for the last three (3) years planning and executing the school's major fundraising events. He recently took over the management of the Summer Academic Intervention Programme (SAIP) designed to improve studnets' academic performance during  the month of July. He is very passionate about table tennis. He firmly believes that one's full potential will be realized through a combination of academic and athletic endeavours.
