The Ascot High School football team continued their promising Manning Cup run yesterday with a 2-0 victory over Hillel Academy.
The win added to a series of competitive performances that have highlighted the team’s growth and determination this season.
Here is a look at Ascot’s performance so far:
Match 1: Ascot opened their campaign against Wolmer’s Boys but suffered a tough 6-0 defeat.
Match 2: The team bounced back with improved composure and earned a 1-1 draw with Dunoon Technical.
Match 3 (Ongoing): Facing Meadowbrook High, Ascot went into halftime with a 1-0 lead before heavy rain forced officials to suspend the match. The game will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, at 3:00 p.m. at Meadowbrook High School.
Match 4 (Yesterday): Ascot recorded their first victory of the season, a convincing 2-0 win over Hillel Academy, showing strength in both attack and defense.
Looking ahead, the boys will turn their attention to Match 5, a crucial encounter against Mona High School this Saturday at Mona High.
After a challenging start, Ascot High has shown resilience and steady improvement, positioning themselves as determined contenders in this year’s Manning Cup. The players and coaching staff remain focused on building momentum and delivering stronger results in the matches to come.
